A NauWork client is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team. This is a hybrid position based in Hood River, Oregon.
This industry-leading company in onboard video processing is looking for a talented candidate to join their empowered team of hardware and software professionals dedicated to exceeding the expectations of their growing customer base.This company is an agile, innovative company developing onboard video processing systems for the autonomous vehicle industry.
The role will work with existing software groups on continuously improving products and new product development. An ideal candidate is looking for a chance to work to find solutions to challenging image-processing problems.
Responsibilities:
Develop a range of low-level embedded software features in C/C++.
Work on embedded video processors used in security and surveillance products (autonomous, airborne, ground, and other applications).
Work collaboratively with cross-functional team including hardware engineers.
Software development in some of the following areas:
Linux drivers for video, communication, memory, network, and other electrical subsystems.
System level software
Image processing and embedded code optimization.
Directly support customers.
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (preferred computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics, music, or other relevant degree).
Familiarity with Linux build systems and device driver debugging.
3+ years of C/C++ embedded software development
Beneficial Experience (preferred, not required):
Software unit testing and use of version control (SVN, GIT)
Embedded Linux software development in C/C++
Software optimization experience on ARM, GPU, or DSP processors
Worked with or implemented embedded hardware drivers.
