Your Mission

UiPath Distinguished Engineer is the senior most individual contributor role at UiPath. You will report to the CTO and help drive multiple strategic technical initiatives, partner closely with senior technical and product leaders across the company.

What You'll Do At UiPath

  • Technical Leadership: Provide thought leadership and technical guidance across the entire product and engineering organization. Define and drive the adoption of best practices, standards, and methodologies.
  • Innovation and Research: Lead and participate in advanced research and development initiatives. Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior executives to develop and execute the company’s technical strategy. Align engineering efforts with business objectives and market trends.
  • Mentorship and Development: Mentor and develop senior engineering talent across the organization. Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Architectural Oversight: Oversee the design and architecture of complex systems. Ensure scalable, reliable, and secure solutions are implemented.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, operations, and other departments to ensure cohesive and effective technical solutions. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the company at conferences, industry events, and within professional communities. Publish papers, deliver talks, and contribute to the broader technical community.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve high-impact technical challenges. Provide expert troubleshooting and technical support for critical issues

What You'll Bring To The Team

  • Innovation: Proven ability to innovate and drive technological advancements. Experience in leading R&D initiatives and contributing to industry standards.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in software engineering, system architecture, or a related technical field, with a proven track record of technical leadership.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge and experience in relevant technologies and domains. Expertise in software development, system architecture, cloud computing, data science, machine learning, or cybersecurity is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire engineering teams. Excellent mentorship and coaching abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think strategically and address high-impact technical challenges.
  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
