About the role:
The Duck Company is seeking a seasoned Director of Sales to lead a team of 15+ sales employees in driving strategic revenue growth to over 1000+ accounts in our core Resort sales channel.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing channel level strategic B2B sales initiatives that achieve growth targets and expand market share for the company’s largest sales channel, while creating an environment for the team that fosters ownership, collaboration, and success. This individual will have accountability for over $17 million in revenue and is explicitly tasked with creating pathways to expand our market presence and achieve the company’s growth and revenue goals.
To do this you will work closely with the President and Leadership team to create company alignment and oversee each functional sales area including business development, account management, and in-house and remote sales reps. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, programs, and approaches that maximize value creation for the customer and the brand.
Please note: This is an in-person, full-time position in Arvada, CO. Remote work is not offered.
To Achieve success in this role, you will:
Create and lead a disciplined and structured sales strategy in line with the company’s growth objectives
Identify growth opportunities within the Resort channel and develop actionable pathways
Foster a positive and collaborative culture that encourages achievement and professional development
Meticulously plan for and communicate future opportunities enabling necessary resource alignment
Define and maintain the standard level of performance for the team, both in the office and on the road
Capture and communicate market needs to empower the organization to deliver
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients ensuring long term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
Assist with complex sales negotiations, attend key presentations, and help close deals.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop channel level programs and solutions
Establish and reflect upon KPIs to evaluate effectiveness of sales strategies and approaches
Conduct regular market research to keep the company informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Utilize market insights to adjust sales strategies and keep the team’s skills appropriately honed
Travel up to 30% to interface with customers and to support the selling process

What you bring:
5+ years’ B2B sales leadership experience (apparel industry, a big plus) with demonstrated track record of success in achieving cultural alignment, growth, and profitability goals.
A proven history of leading teams in growing high value accounts and territories.
Strong leadership, mentorship, and management skills, with a focus on employee growth and development
Established and leverageable customer relationships in relevant markets.
Proven track record of managing high performing teams that exceed performance expectations.
Experience building out large scale sales strategies with effective resource management including planning, revenue forecasting, program management, and opportunity assessment.
Strong time management, critical thinking, decision making, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
An innovative approach to selling and sales performance with an openness for new methods
A creative mindset, open to other’s ideas, and a willingness to have tough conversations
Expert negotiation skills targeted towards closing deals
Exceptional and transparent communication with both customers and the organization
Proficiency in the MS Office suite and HubSpot (or similar CRM).

Salary: On target estimate of $176,000, no cap on commission.
Base salary of $125,000 - $135,000 dependent upon non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
