Director, Project Management-PMO (on-site, Dallas, TX)

Initially known for the Ziosk tableside tablet, our team has developed a portfolio of products thoughtfully designed for the restaurant technology space for over 15 years. With devices in multiple U.S. restaurant locations, we are continually expanding our services. Key clients include Chili’s. Yard House, Olive Garden, Red Robin, and Texas Roadhouse.

Ziosk is looking for an experienced Director of Project Management to lead our PM Team. This role is responsible for overseeing the management of new customer implementations, technology refreshes, and some internal projects. The ideal candidate needs to be a creative, organized, adaptable problem solver with experience leading a team of project managers.

Responsibilities (5 days in office)

• Work in a dynamic environment managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring they are completed within scope and on time.
• Quickly gain strategic understanding of stakeholder needs, and business and technology objectives.
• Work with internal sales/client teams and engineering teams to align on project requirements and expectations
• Drive the project/project delivery strategy through the consistent application of a project management framework, training, methodologies, metrics, assets, and tools
• Establish measures of success and push the team to exceed expectations
• Maintain a high-level view of status updates across all projects, adapting communications as needed for multiple stakeholders, including C-level
• Maintain engagement with each project to facilitate quick internal escalations as needed, and handle customer escalations that arise
• Shift project resources as needed to align with strategic business goals
• Work with Ziosk Dev and Engineering teams as needed to address any issues that arise during an implementation or other assigned project
• Must be able to accommodate flexible hours including some mornings or evenings.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 + years experience leading a team that manages multiple projects simultaneously.
• 5 + years experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager (Food & Beverages/Hospitality, SaaS environment, Information Technology, etc.). PMP, PgMP, or other formal project training is required.
• Excellent & highly adaptable verbal and written communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of Project Management systems such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, NetSuite, Power BI, MS Project
• Experience building efficient project plans with interlinked dependencies, and coaching a team on best practices and techniques for driving results
• Must be excellent in documenting work effort and project status on an ongoing basis
• Ideal candidate will also have restaurant industry knowledge (Point of Sale systems, Touchscreen devices, Order and Pay at the Table, Hand-held pay at the table devices, AP’s, Wi-Fi, etc.)
