Company Description: The Company has a strong and well-established women’s fashion brand and significant market share in its multiple product categories, with global distribution through major retailers, specialty stores and eCommerce. We are searching for an experienced and strategic Director of IT to manage the Company's global IT Operations & Strategy.
Director of IT - Summary of Position: The Director of IT reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for leadership and vision for the Company’s information technology stack. He/She is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions of the Company and for aligning the organization's technologies to the needs of the Company and its businesses, especially for the ERP platform and eCommerce initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a diverse technology leadership background with direct experience with Apparel, Wholesale, and Direct to Consumer digital commerce. Attributes key to the success of this role that will uniquely identify candidates are: thought leadership, critical thinking, drive, passion, a partnership mindset and bias for action with willingness to dive in hands-on when necessary.
Responsibilities:
Partners with the senior management team to provide guidance and recommendations for how to improve and grow the business using technology.
Responsible for all technology architecture, applications, systems, and telecom utilized by all offices. Own all major applications and systems across the business: ERP, EDI, PLM, DAM, Productivity, Reporting and Analysis
Partners with the heads of business units to align their business requirements with the capabilities of company owned technology. Provides best practices to business heads on how systems and apps can be used to improve processes and performance.
Manages the relationships with all IT vendors, MSPs, contractors, freelancers and other 3rd parties.
Responsible for IT staffing decisions, and growing & mentoring employees.
Accountable for keeping environment secure from inside and outside cyber threats. Decision maker for security matters and policies
Set the technical guidelines for all application, database and ecommerce development projects, specifically in ERP, EDI, Shopify & eCommerce back end, Financials, BI, Data Warehouse and other business applications.
Manage the IT project roadmap, creating project plans, and supporting project methodology throughout the IT team and contractors.
Develops performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the organization; establishes IT policies and best practices, systems and technology, project and program management, development standards and methodologies.
Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent technical experience of 10+ years will be considered.
8 years of demonstrated management experience in an IT environment.
Deep understanding of Apparel, Consumer Goods and Retail industry business models.
Demonstrated experience managing cloud architecture and networks.
