Title: Director, Global Communications

Salary Range: $100,000 - 130,000 OTE


The Opportunity

Kargo is seeking a results-driven Communications Director to extend Kargo’s presence in the industry. The Communications Director is responsible for driving Kargo’s external communications and PR strategy, developing and fostering brand relationships, and creating content to amplify Kargo’s brand.


The Daily To-Do

  • Develop and lead Kargo’s Communication and PR strategy
  • Amplify of Kargo's story through earned and paid channels including but not limited to trade publications, social media, email marketing, etc
  • Foster relationships with brands and cultivate partnerships to further communicate Kargo's value proposition
  • Write, edit, and proof of all pitches, press releases, blogs, and articles
  • Ensure brand consistency in marketing materials
  • Manage PR budgets
  • Address the media regarding relevant Kargo inquiries


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in PR/Marketing
  • Ability to work cross-departmentally with stakeholders at all levels
  • Expert negotiator with high attention to detail
  • Experience brokering brand partnerships and client management
  • Expert knowledge of social media, online marketing, and internet culture
  • Established connections with media outlets and influential accounts
  • In depth understanding of marketing analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • High level of professionalism
