Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Remote Design Engineer proficient in Altium to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating and revising part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings. This role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineers to develop and improve engineering designs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, draw, and revise engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, notes, and discussions with engineers.
• Utilize Altium for computer-aided design tasks and manual drafting tools as needed.
• Complete layout drawings prepared by others according to standard engineering drafting practices.
• Develop major layouts of engineering drawings as required.
• Determine necessary scaling, insert reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
• Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Create complete production detail drawings.
• Contribute design modifications to enhance product quality and facilitate manufacturing operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Altium is mandatory.
• Proven experience in drafting and design, particularly with part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of standard engineering drafting practices.
• Ability to determine scaling and prepare detailed production drawings.
• Excellent communication skills for discussing designs and specifications with engineers.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all drafting tasks.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a fully remote role.
• Additional experience with other computer-aided design software.
