Design Architect Manager

CES Consulting, LLC is an engineering and construction management firm focused on quality, safety, compliance, innovation, and value. The firm was founded in 2010 by three professionals passionate about resolving complex construction, time, and cost issues to ensure that transportation and civil infrastructure are safe, durable, and compliant. Over the years, CES expanded its services to include utility management, construction at-risk, and civil engineering services.

We are hiring a Design Architect Manager for our Engineering practice in Washington DC.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Program Management as a Design Architect Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing construction and renovation design programs with multiple buildings over multiple locations, varying in scale and complexity.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• A strong knowledge of design industry practices, current digital tools utilized for planning and design, the technical aspects of commercial and/or government new construction, and renovation and current building and construction standards and codes.
• Experience collaborating with peers and agencies or clients to develop, implement, track adherence to and report program design standards, program scopes, program budgets and program schedules.
• Experience formulating and establishing standard design policies, processes, and procedures.
• Experience working with professional teams and agencies to develop strategic plans, campus master plans, facility master plans, master facility plans, or other master plan documents for implementation.
• Experience collaborating with peers and agencies or clients to develop procurement acquisition strategies and a range of Request for Proposal (RFP) types.
• The ability to assemble and analyze data to develop clear arguments key to making planning and design-related decisions or solving planning and design- related problems and expressing those arguments, in writing and presentation format, clearly and persuasively.
• All computer skills and functional knowledge of computer programs necessary to assemble presentations that clearly and efficiently communicate program master plans, design status and health of the program planning and design scope, schedule, and budget upon request and with short notice.
  
  

Education, Certifications, And Experience

The minimum qualifications for this role include the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in planning, design, or engineering-related field
• Seven (7) years of experience in the commercial or government building industryexperience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have any of the following:

• PMP or PgMP professional credential
• AICP, LEED Green Associate
