The Role:
We are looking for an experienced CPG Data Analyst (Drug Channel) to join our team. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems and strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals. To succeed in this CPG Data Analyst (Drug Channel) position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. You will pull data and provide projections for the Sales Leads, work directly with major retailers to share insights, handle retailer forms for item set-up, and provide initial sales forecasting reports to ensure inventory levels are correct and consistent. You will also support the Sales Leads on annual planning. If you are detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills, and are an expert in Excel, we’d like to hear from you.
Candidates MUST have CPG experience coupled with experience working with IRI and within CVS/Walgreens retailer portals.
Key Responsibilities:
Passion for creating compelling sell stories to ensure our brands win in retail
Go to contact for all customer related systems
Lead monthly S&OP process
Utilize consumption data to influence customer decision making
Analyze trade spend strategy to maximize profitability
Work cross-functionally with category leadership team to identify demand space opportunities and voids in market
Study past sales data to determine industry and productivity trends
Continually evaluate business needs and objectives
Develop and maintain data reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
Engage with outside vendors to leverage additional third-party data sources
Key Skills and Experience Preferred:
5+ years of experience in a data analytics role within the CPG industry (Beverage preferred)
Drug Channel experience preferred; STIBO, SupplierNet, CEP, and Vendor Funded Management a plus
SPINS/IRI/Nielsen consumption data expert
Candidates must possess the ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Working knowledge of data warehousing, modeling, and mining
Experience with sales forecasting and reporting on inventory levels
Experience supporting Sales teams by compiling and analyzing sales and market data
Excellent communication skills, including presentation and training ability
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
