This is a Full time, paid summer internship.

CVR is looking for a professional, well-organized, compassionate individual with great attention to detail to serve as a Copyediting Intern for Content Development Team.

Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous Copy Editor to join our team for a paid internship. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring written content is error-free and engaging.

Responsibilities:

• Review written material (i.e., guidebooks, job aids, transcriptions, and presentations) and for grammar, punctuation, style (including format), and voice
• Transcribe and copyedit video closed captions from recorded presentations
• Write original copy and edit content for a range of materials that meet CVR’s standards
• Research and understand basics of public housing programs
• Collaborate with the Content Development Team as well as other internal stakeholders
• Revise copy based on internal and client feedback
  
  

Skills:

• Very strong copyediting and writing skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office required
• Experience with video captioning preferred
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Capacity to incorporate feedback from various stakeholders
• Experience proofreading and familiarity with standard style guides
  
  

Qualifications:

• English major or recent college grad a plus
• Proven experience in editing, proofreading, and writing
• Familiarity with various style guides
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
• Ability to conduct research and fact-check information
• Strong Background in journalism or related field is a plus
