Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated sales professional to join our sales team as a Business Solutions Sales Specialist, focusing on merchant card acceptance services (“Merchant Services”) and treasury management services. The individual filling this role will sell our company's merchant card acceptance services, provided by First Data, to businesses of all sizes, as well as offer treasury management solutions to help businesses optimize their financial operations.

Qualifications

College degree in finance or business-related discipline and/or a minimum of three years banking experience or the equivalent.

At least two years of Financial Services experience preferred; Sales calling experience preferred.

Knowledge merchant card acceptance services preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Must be bondable.

Essential Duties

Develop and maintain a strong network of potential clients through targeted prospecting, networking events, and referrals.

Identify and qualify leads for merchant card acceptance services and treasury management services

Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients to showcase the benefits of our services

Build and maintain relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and support

Identify client needs and recommend customized solutions for merchant card acceptance and treasury management

Prepare and present proposals and quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and close sales deals

Execute the arrangement and proper installation of Treasury Management and Merchant Services solutions.

Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and competitors’ offerings to proactively identify new sales opportunities

Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and goals

Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress, and achievements to the sales manager

Maintain proficiency in bank and vendor systems

Complete required annual regulatory, sales, and service training and apply training to daily responsibilities, maintaining a compliant sales and service process

Coordinate specific work tasks with personnel from applicable departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information; report pertinent information to immediate supervisor; compile information as necessary or directed and provide data to appropriate Bank personnel; respond to inquiries relating to the particular area and requests from clients, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and established policy.

Attend regularly scheduled coaching and counseling sessions held by supervisor to achieve the outcome of improved communication, action plan development, positive feedback and performance improvement.

Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment that is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place; support risk management practices and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements. Ensure that the department and all personnel adhere to the same; perform tasks that are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job which may be altered or redesigned depending on individual circumstances.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office setting with little to moderate exposure to noise, heat, dust or other adverse factors. Working extended hours may be required as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
