The Assistant Vice President (AVP) Legal and Compliance will play a critical role in overseeing the legal and compliance functions within the organization. This role ensures that the firm operates within the legal frameworks and adheres to all regulatory requirements while providing strategic legal guidance to senior management. The AVP will lead a team responsible for corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and legal affairs, ensuring the firm's activities comply with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Job Description
This individual will be responsible for assisting the Vice President of Legal & Compliance in leading UNA’s Legal & Compliance Department.
Assistant Vice President of Legal & Compliance will serve as the Vice President of Legal &Compliance right hand and be directly responsible for supervising the Compliance team as well as managing risk management for the Company.
Salary/Benefits
$150k-$155k +/year (based on experience)

Requirements
Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school.
5-7 years of related experience as an attorney in Property and Casualty industry.
Must be willing to work flexible and adaptable to an evolving compliance function.
Strong interpersonal, managerial and diplomacy skills; but more importantly, will need to be flexible and adaptable to an evolving Legal & Compliance function.
Proficiency with Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
