Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining communication with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payments.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Verify and reconcile discrepancies in invoices and purchase orders.
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Review employee expense reports for policy compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare and perform check runs.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of transactions.
• Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate efficient and accurate payment processing.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficient in accounting software (experience with [specific software] is a plus).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.
