Accounts Payable Assistant

Due to rapid growth, CORDENTAL Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance Department at our Dubuque, Iowa resource center. As an Accounts Payable Assistant your key role will be to assist with the processing of vendor invoices and other accounting duties as assigned. Candidates we are looking for must have strong friendly communication abilities, along with great organizational skills.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Corresponds with vendors and maintains updated vendor profiles
• Assists with the process of vendor invoices, ensuring they are accurate and appropriately approved
• Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
• Collects and verify invoices, bills and checks by performing pre-audits to ensure both accuracy and appropriateness prior to payment
• Assists with the processing of check runs
• Assists with receiving and verifying employee expense reports.
• Other general accounting duties as assigned
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in accounting or related field
• Minimum two year’s experience, ideally in an Accounts Payable role
• Experience with Sage software is preferred
• Strong MS Excel skills
