Account Director (Coverage Role)

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for an Account Director to drive client results and lead a team of junior account members. The right candidate has strong client management experience, with a history of leading successful growth marketing campaigns. We are looking for an Account Director familiar with user acquisition strategies and channels across both App and Web user flows. who can manage relationships with senior clients, and possesses compelling presentation and communication skills.


The temporary contract position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 12/01/2024 with potential for renewal. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and grow a portfolio of client accounts by deepening relationships with key decision makers within the organization. 
  • Manage client needs, business objectives and expectations to ensure we are delivering on business goals – includes leading the strategic vision for higher-level meetings such as MBRs, QBRs, and other campaign wrap ups.
  • Interpret and evaluate client digital media investments across multiple channels, including digital display, social/search, OTT, mobile, programmatic and emerging channels/technologies
  • Develop and execute client development plans, identify cross-sell & upsell opportunities
  • Provide visible senior coverage with clients and act as an escalation point internally and externally.
  • Mentor supervisors and junior account manager, overseeing daily client comms, QA of key deliverables, and overall media performance. 
  • Collaborate with key departments (Search & Social, Programmatic, Data & Analytics, Creative, Research, Finance) on existing client business and new business projects to drive success.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality work on deadline.
  • Mentor junior members of the Account team while managing workload across accounts
  • Develop SOWs, renegotiate contracts, own escalations and finance resolution


  • REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience working in an agency environment in a client service role as an Associate Director or Account Director level.
  • 8-10 years’ experience in digital media (eg. accounts, strategy, planning and buying)
  • Team leadership skills
  • High-level expertise in diverse digital channels: PPC, Social, Programmatic, etc.
  • Experience in Performance advertising working towards aggressive CAC goals.
  • Experience in Mobile is preferred (working with MMPs, GAC, ASA).
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, with experience liaising with clients at senior level.
  • Demonstrable experience growing revenues and effectively managing budgets / client profitability.
  • Strong experience participating in pitches and winning new business.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
