How can leaders evaluate their progress and adjust during a transition?
An important piece of assessing success during a transition is finding the right feedback sources. This should even start in the planning phase - identifying who will be judging success and who will be impacted by the transition and then gathering feedback about what success will look like to each of those parties will create a more informed and impactful plan. By getting their buy-in early in the planning will also lead to more meaningful feedback to help keep the transition on track as you go.

Your team is struggling with problem-solving. How can you help them get back on track?
Teams who are struggling with problem solving are most often struggling because they haven't gotten to the root cause of the problem yet. I've seen many waste a lot of time trying to solve a problem only for the solution to not work. Why? the assumption of the why behind the problem didn't turn out to be true. To help a team problem solve when they're stuck, I'd start with coaching them through going deeper on discovery. Asking the right questions to understand the context around the problem and what is causing it is the most impactful use of time during problem solving.

How can you help leaders develop self-reflection skills?
The first step in helping an executive self-reflect, in my experience, is identifying what's holding them back from doing it already. We often carry psychological barriers against reflection - it can be painful to be potentially critical of ourselves, to identify what we can do better. While powerful questions are a great tool to drive meaningful self-reflection, they won't be successful until you've built up a safe space for that reflection to happen in. One strategy to do this is through modeling vulnerability and self-reflective behaviors yourself.
