    Busted Nuts Robotics is a group dedicated to building and competing combat robots as a hobby.
    In the spring of 2015 we were provided the opportunity to participate in ABCs revamped edition of BattleBots.
    We had approximately 6 weeks to design and build a 250lb robotic system for the show.
    Utilizing various materials and fabrication techniques we completed construction on two complimentary systems.

    A hardened S-7 toolsteel weapon system weighing approximately 60lbs.
    4-wheel, 9HP chain driven electronic drive system
    44V electrically powered weapon system
    40lb secondary system consisting of:
    A waterjet cut welded aluminum frame system
    2-wheel, 6HP direct drive electronic drive system
    12 oz butane flame-thrower system

    In addition to competing on the televised series we design, build and compete smaller robots at competitions throughout the year.
