BEGININGLESS ♻️ CURVATURES A Collective Inquiry When we contemplate the notion that space "bends," a fundamental question emerges: into where does it curve? This query from suggests that if space indeed bends, there must exist another dimension or "space" into which our three-dimensional space warps. Otherwise, how would we recognize curvature? To address this, we must consider an alternative perspective: why can't space bend into itself? As such, we ponder the necessity of balance and symmetry in the universe. Does supersymmetry have to conform to our intuitive binary notions of balance, or could it be more akin to an Ouroboros, the ancient symbol of a serpent eating its own tail, embodying a recursive, self-contained system? In our conceptual model, we envision dimension zero as a timeless and spaceless realm, a source from which solitons and emergences arise and eventually return. Dimension zero can be seen as the source where all bosons, quarks, and vibrating packets of energy originate and to which they inevitably revert. This view aligns with theories in quantum mechanics and field theory, where particles and forces are understood as excitations of underlying fields. The recursive nature of spacetime can be likened to manifold geometries that are both inner and outer, toroidal in structure, and fractal-like in complexity. In these models, nodes of intersection become emergent properties themselves, much like solitons appearing within other solitons. This can be visualized as the dynamics within a hurricane, where centrifugal and centripetal forces create a spiraling structure that is self-sustaining and self-similar across scales. Our understanding of spacetime and its curvature does not necessitate a linear beginning or end. The search for origins often stems from an anthropomorphic need to address our mortality. Yet, what if the universe is beginningless, an idea supported by models in cosmology that propose cyclic or eternal inflationary scenarios? We find resonance in the work of Sean Manion PhD, who coined the term "Neuroboros" to describe the recursive nature of consciousness and reality. This concept, influenced by Gödel's incompleteness theorems, challenges our anthropocentric perspectives and encourages us to embrace a more holistic view of existence. Thus, our inquiry into the curvature of spacetime invites us to expand our thinking beyond traditional boundaries. By considering spacetime as a recursive, self-interacting entity, we appreciate the profound fluidity of all things, from the smallest quarks to the vast structures of the cosmos. This perspective not only deepens our understanding of the universe but also enriches our appreciation of the infinite dance of energy and matter. In this exploration, let’s celebrate the endless potential of inquiry and the boundless nature of the cosmos, recognizing that our quest for knowledge is an integral part of the ever-unfolding narrative of the universe. __ #Physics #Curves

Quantum Neuroscience (simplified): inputs to outputs to actions. If I tell you to create/draw everything the word liveliveviewleaf makes you imagine, it may be different than LiveLoveViewLeaf and why? So a machine is at a defined disadvantage and requires human help at times to clarify how to proceed and/or be consistently taught every new abstract concept translation, but even then- the machine can only take one action at a time based on that abstract information, so enter a omniverse door to 2020 or 2020 too? From any creator’s mind/real spawn point of reference view inside any device’s reality. There’s a another shape (H) in my notes that makes me imagine another shape (I) I think and it’s odd that I see that split second imaginary holographic reality reconfigure forms in my mind. There’s also a mental zone I used to be able to go in where I’m able to only mentally feel gray zone fuzz and I think it must be a place for evolution mastery- I think someone is jealous of how far I was getting but anyway, the new virtual reality students simply should tell the truth of why they set every goal, even if it’s temporarily private, so that it does not cause recursive friction in their imagination process. You should be able to tap a device when something in your environment is “suspicious” to you so that no one can ever get away with a crime; imagine being notified that two or more people in your vicinity think you are doing something suspicious; what are your likely next actions besides trying you fool a camera or judge much later? Like when cars act like they’ll hit me or glare their lights from far away, etc. I could just flag them all as suspicious and the universal recording would report to a human reviewer. We don’t have to bother people with very obvious looking universal surveillance capitalism; just make them aware of the average human’s intelligence, like knowing you shouldn’t try to fool the teacher looking directly at you in class and finding out how you’re being studied in avoidance techniques. I think that will prevent a lot of crime, because crime rarely ever happens directly in front of an obvious law official: why is that? Okay. Now explain that also!!👑Neuroscience output control.

This rings true to me. I worry that the existential panic expressed by many prominent AI practitioners and researchers is overshadowing a challenge that is far more pertinent: AI may claim too many jobs, long before we have to worry about superintelligence. The ruthless efficiency of AI systems will expose the sheer bloat of an economic and employment model based on what David Graeber so endearingly calls ‘bullshit jobs’. Those jobs make up the entire middle layer of the so-called "First World’s" economy! We should be anxious about this and transfer the sense of urgency currently allocated towards superalignment and aim it at mass disturbance caused by swathes of jobs being vapourised with little warning. Yes, many new jobs will be created but most people won’t have the skills to be useful in those jobs which means mass reskilling and upskilling should be on any government’s priority checklist.

I think there is a path for AI in filmmaking. Originally I was highly skeptical of its ability as a rabid consume of movies but then I started seeing the AI generated 1950s adoptions of movies (my favorites are Scream and Robocop). It made me think how a lot of content is rehashing of old content that is no where close to original (I’m looking at you Key West Dalton in the new Road House) or needless sequels (any Disney movie or TV series in the past three-ish years). These investments are proving to not pay out since Disney especially has produced some bombs lately and Warner Bros struggles to find profits while Paramount is in flux. That leaves the odd Netflix series to capture the imagination. However we are still consuming the content. Why not free up the resources to allow creatives to make more focused bets on content they can poor their heart into instead of trying to drain some extra juice from something from the 80s or 90s. Do I trust major studios to take that approach? Hell no because they are beasts but I feel like smaller indie productions and studios could leverage AI to punch outside their weight class while having an AI generated revenue stream while building out prestige from human created content. https://lnkd.in/gYV3g547

Bias - such as inaccurate, disproportional associations between ideas - is a frequently cited concern when dealing with LLMs. What can we do to prevent these biases from seeping into our work when working with AI? One bias mitigation strategy is examination of how the AI reaches its conclusions. Can you see your #chessboard Have you heard of Structural Dynamics Theory (SDT)? Developed by the late #DavidKantor, SDT is a model for how communication works (or doesn't) in human systems. While Kantor's original work focused on family dynamics, his work evolved in looking at group dynamics in organisations. He worked closely with Peter Senge, Edgar Schein and Chris Argyris to bring this to life. A key concept within SDT is the four-player model. The four-player model provides a framework for us to look at verbal 'actions' in a meeting. These can sometimes be hidden, so the model helps to surface these and helps us to decide the best 'move' to make to help the conversation. The model suggests there are four vocal 'acts' and all four are needed for an effective interaction: - MOVE where the intent is to give direction, introduce a new idea. E.g., "I think it's time we changed the finance system." - FOLLOW where the intent is to achieve completion, get behind others' ideas. E.g., "Good idea. I'm happy to help take that forward." - OPPOSE where the intent is to correct, push back and challenge weaknesses. E.g., "Do we have the budget for that at this time?" - BY-STAND where the intent is to get perspective, acting as bridge and connecting views. E.g., "I'm hearing that it's time to change the finance system but that more information is needed on budget. What do others think?" Each mode has positive intent but also a shadow side. I've summarised this concept in a sketchnote. This is a useful concept to help people in teams become more self-aware - identifying default patterns of behaviour and interaction. It can subsequently be used to help facilitate better listening, understanding and communicating. What do you think your default player mode is? This sound-suppressing silk can create quiet spaces Researchers engineered a hair-thin fabric to create a lightweight, compact, and efficient mechanism to reduce noise transmission in a large room. From the hum of traffic outside your window to the next-door neighbor’s blaring TV to sounds from a co-worker’s cubicle, unwanted noise remains a resounding problem. To cut through the din, an interdisciplinary collaboration of researchers from MIT and elsewhere developed a sound-suppressing silk fabric that could be used to create quiet spaces. The fabric, which is barely thicker than a human hair, contains a special fiber that vibrates when a voltage is applied to it. The researchers leveraged those vibrations to suppress sound in two different ways. In one, the vibrating fabric generates sound waves that interfere with an unwanted noise to cancel it out, similar to noise-canceling headphones, which work well in a small space like your ears but do not work in large enclosures like rooms or planes. In the other, more surprising technique, the fabric is held still to suppress vibrations that are key to the transmission of sound. This prevents noise from being transmitted through the fabric and quiets the volume beyond. This second approach allows for noise reduction in much larger spaces like rooms or cars. By using common materials like silk, canvas, and muslin, the researchers created noise-suppressing fabrics which would be practical to implement in real-world spaces. #GenerativeStrategy: Building on #sensemaking and #MakingSense Sensemaking and making sense may sound like the same thing, but when we look closer, we learn why both are needed to create #GenerativeStrategies for building #futures we can relate to. #Sensemaking is a cognitive and analytical process. It involves analyzing and interpreting data to construct a coherent understanding of complex environments. This structures process relies on logical thinking and analytical skills to connect the dots and identify patterns. While it could be performed individually, more often it is a collaborative effort to create a shared understanding, that can guide decision-making. #MakingSense on the other hand, is experience-based, holistic comprehension of our realities. An experiential process, that includes emotions, intuition, and lived experiences to reach a deep and personal understanding. This process, maybe less structured, leads to embodied knowledge. Making sense is often highly subjective, influenced by an individual's unique perspective and context. It’s about how something feels and resonates on a personal level. To envision and build #futures we can relate to, we must include both in our #FuturesWork efforts. Sensemaking can help us see the patterns, we can build futures on. This shared understanding of our complex environments can form the basis for futures we trust. Making sense involves experiencing those ideas, and connecting deeper with the yet-to-come. When we make sense of these relational dynamics, we nurture an environment where collaborative and inclusive futures can flourish. #GenerativeStrategy goes beyond traditional planning. It’s about creating conditions that enable new possibilities to emerge. #Sensemaking helps us identify these conditions, but #makingsense ensures we experience and internalize them, paving the way for innovative and sustainable solutions. Can robots help teams be more creative? This study from Karen Fucinato, Sladjana Nørskov, PhD, Kerstin Fischer, and Oliver Niebuhr reveals that when teams are led by 'charismatic' robots, their ideas tend to improve. What are 'charismatic' robots? Think robots programmed to communicate in sociably appealing ways (e.g., enthusiam, charm, persuasiveness, passion, etc). A big takeaway here is that if leaders want to develop innovative teams, they should pay closer attention to how they actually speak.
