  • Study Abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland

    Two weeks analyzing political theatre during the annual Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.
    The focus of my project was specifically on audience reaction, and the use of fairy tales and lore to make political statements.

  • DKMS Think 10,000 Bone Marrow Registration Drive

    - Present

    Cofounded group to host an annual registration drive on campus. Multiple drive were head on campus from 2010-2013.
    Results:
    Over 6,000 individuals entered into the national bone marrow registry
    50 life-saving donations from UMass students as a result of these drives
    500 students have shown up as potential matches for patients in need

  • Bone Marrow Registrations Drives

    Since January 17 of 2007 till this day on October 25, 2013 at over 800 bone marrow drives I've operated or organized Giovanni's Gladiators have registered over 65,000 bone marrow donors primarily for DKMS Americas Delete Blood Cancer and three other donor centers locating over 210 lifesaving matches for those suffering the lethal ravages of blood cancer.

To date 17 of them have donated their stem cells to save the life of another. UMass Amherst has provided the second largest number of bone marrow donors than any other school in the country. This year, our small student group is reciting, not only our past UMass volunteers, but also the Five Colleges in hopes of holding the…

This year, our small student group is reciting, not only our past UMass volunteers, but also the Five Colleges in hopes of holding the largest collegiate bone marrow registration drive, as well as register enough people to reach our original goal of 10,000 people.
