Time flies when you’re having a fun! It’s been nearly four weeks of DREAM summer programming, and from our classrooms to our ball fields, we are all smiles! 😀☀️📚⚾️

Strong, meaningful relationships between teachers and students are integral to unlocking a child's full potential. Momentum has partnered with DREAM to bring the game of golf to more than 1,500 students in East Harlem and the Bronx. The program kicked off this month with our golf instruction team, led by former Florida A&M golfer Omari Whitmore, working with rising 6th and 7th graders who are participating in DREAM’s summer program at their Mott Haven campus in the Bronx. Our long-term plan is to build a year-round golf program that will include a DREAM Charter High School team. Major Leaguers weren’t the only All-Stars in Texas this weekend! DREAM’s Youth Academy baseball and softball teams joined in the festivities, competing against teams from across the country in the 2024 Commissioner’s Cup and Jennie Finch Classic. The teams also got to participate in the Home Run Derby, visit AT&T Stadium, and more! Thank you Major League Baseball (MLB) for such an awesome experience! 🥎⚾️ #allstargame #mlballstargame

We are thrilled to partner with DREAM in New York, our first partner in the city, to support their mission of making every student known, seen, and loved. Through our recent training session at DREAM, we prepared their youth coaches to lead the 2024 Time Capsule curriculum with their 4th grade summer school students. Through this partnership, we aim to help students build confidence, navigate their emotions, and strengthen their sense of community—key elements that DREAM fosters through their inclusive and supportive environment. Three decades ago, DREAM was founded as Harlem RBI, a summer youth baseball organization in East Harlem. Today, we still honor those roots through our extended-day, extended-year structure, which provides free summer programming—including rigorous academic instruction and engaging physical activity and enrichments—to all DREAM Charter School students.
