In Early June we had our US All Team meeting in Minneapolis and damn we had fun. The consistent feedback was wanting more time. We had a great mix of strategy, feedback, alignment, and important celebration time. As a remote company we get to access the best talent in the world no matter where they live. Nothing will ever replace the joy of in person celebration and relationship building. The VG Cup was full after this one.

I was recently asked why the company is called "Voyageur Group".... The short answer is that Voyageurs National Park is 100% my favorite place in the world. I have been going their since I was born and go back at least once a year. It is a sanctuary and a 'home in nature' for me and my family. So it was obvious - to me - that the company I start and pour so much of my life into should pay homage to this truly incredible place. The fun story that aligns with the brand, however, is really about the Voyageurs that used the waterways of Voyageurs National Park to transport goods from trading post to trading post to end customer. As a retail commerce agency, we act as 'Voyageurs' for all of our clients. We are a full-service agency managing virtually every aspect of a client's business to help them get their product from trading post (Amazon, Target, etc.) to their customers. This is why we are Voyageur Group. We are modern day Voyageurs. And because the National Park is just that awesome... you should check it out.

Amazon had its first ever Big Spring Sale March 20th - 25th this year. There are little results posted but here is what we have found on eMarketer Summary Points: 1️⃣ Over a third of US consumers shopped Amazon's Big Spring Sale 2️⃣ Less than 10% of consumer purchased outdoor items or household cleaning products, despite those being the main categories 3️⃣ Beauty and health were the top purchased categories, followed by electronics & tech, then home goods & apparel What didn't work ➖ Amazon announced this only a week in advance of the event and didn't put a lot of marketing behind it What did work ➕ It was a sale for ALL not just Prime Members We expect that the event is here to stay and a new 'tentpole' event, but will continue to be a lesser event than the existing based on how Amazon prioritized marketing for the sale https://lnkd.in/gR_FBCku
