You’ve heard of a food bank providing food for those in need, but how about a diaper bank? Well, that’s exactly what Every Bottom Covered is for those in Buffalo who need help with supplies for babies and new parents… diapers, pull-ups, wipes, creams, etc. On Tuesday, July 23rd, our Community Affairs Director Olivia Linke and Raziya Hill, Founder and Executive Director of Every Bottom Covered, were guests on Daytime Buffalo, hosted by Chelsea Lovell on WIVB-TV Channel 4. Invasive plants are crowding out valuable green space at Buffalo’s Martin Luther King Jr Park, and the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy found a fun way to address the situation. This past Sunday, we were among the sponsors of a floral papermaking workshop hosted by the conservancy. Invasive daylily plants were removed from the park for artist Janna Willoughby-Lohr of Papercraft Miracles to transform into paper. The event was part of the East Side Garden Walk.

Our member was receiving infusions of his cancer medication at a facility that was in an inconvenient location for him. Due to his medical history and lifestyle, home infusion was not a viable option for him. Our team was able to find the member a more local and cost-effective location to receive his infusions, so that he can receive the most convenient care possible while staying at a clinically appropriate setting that has direct coordination of care with his oncologist.
