In case you missed it: last week, The White House announced the upcoming launch of the Aspen Policy Academy, a new initiative building on the work of the Aspen Tech Policy Hub, a subprogram of Aspen Digital. The Aspen Policy Academy, coming in October 2024, will broaden the Hub’s tech audience and offer policy training programs to diverse subject-matter experts. At this week's Aspen Security Forum, Google announced the Coalition For Secure AI, bringing together top tech companies to develop cybersecurity and safety standards for artificial intelligence tools. Founding members include Amazon, Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, OpenAI, PayPal, and more. The coalition will "advance comprehensive security measures for addressing the unique risks that come with AI, for both issues that arise in real time and those over the horizon."
