About us

Enabling the transformative power of knowledge is what gets us out of bed in the morning. We believe knowledge transfer is crucial to human progress. And the future of learning is not limited to traditional institutions. By democratizing who gets to share their knowledge, we unlock transformational opportunities for creators and their students that continue to push us all forward as lifelong learners. We do this by building best-in-class knowledge products, rooted in ownership, partnership, and flexibility, with a focus on student experience and monetization. Our reach is proven: As of 2020, more than 37 million students have enrolled in courses created on Teachable, and instructors using our platform have collectively earned nearly $1 billion. But we’re just getting started. In March 2020, Teachable became a part of the Hotmart group, an international startup based in Brazil with over 1,500 employees worldwide. Hotmart's mission is perfectly aligned with our own: to help creators transform their ideas into real online businesses. From online courses to coaching services to digital downloads—the options to share what you know are limitless.

Teachable @ VidCon 2024 ✨ A big thank you to everyone who joined us at our happy hour networking event alongside Passionfruit, Blanka, Beacons, and Creator Economy NYC! And a huge shoutout to Teachable Creator Chris Do for sharing his insight at our panel discussion on the professionalization of creators. Seeing 250+ creators, marketers, and industry experts come together excites us more than anything, and it was great meeting so many of you in person. 🫶 A couple of our takeaways: 👉 Creators of all sizes, from micro-audiences to massive followings, have the potential to build real, sustainable businesses from their content. It was inspiring to see creators at all different points in their journey crushing it. 👉 IRL connection is more valuable (and needed) than ever. There’s nothing like having passionate, like-minded people gathered in one space, forming new connections and sharing ideas. Remember one of our top tips for creators: spend time around other creators. We’re committed to putting on more events like this one, and we look forward to seeing you at one soon!

We were thrilled to partner with Brett Dashevsky and Creator Economy NYC for a night of incredible conversation between creators. It was fun to meet our creators IRL last week in NYC and to see all the ideas brewing as creators got to connect other creators. We are so proud to be part of this growing community!

Brett Dashevsky Brett Dashevsky is an Influencer

Head of Content Creators @ Kickstarter | Connecting the NYC creator economy | Innovating influencer marketing analytics

A packed house at last week's Creator Economy NYC event. The community came out in numbers for NYC’s very own star creator, Brooke Miccio. What surprised me most about this event? The sheer number of first-time attendees. It's thrilling to see the community expanding — a clear sign of the growth and impact of the creator economy. And one thing is for sure — people wanna meet people IRL. Beyond networking and connecting, we gained some deep insights from Brooke on what it takes to thrive as a creator. Here were my main takeaways: 👉 Consistency is key: Keep showing up and putting out content. 👉 Experiment with content and formats: Don’t be afraid to mix things up. 👉 Engage with your audience early and often: Like and reply to comments. 👉 Lean on other creators and be scrappy: There’s a lot to learn from each other. For a deeper dive into these insights, check out: https://lnkd.in/eT3nNbhs A huge shoutout to Whalar and Teachable for their partnership — these are two outstanding companies dedicated to building for creators, and their support is invaluable. I've said it before, but "a rising tide lifts all boats," and never has this been more evident than in the collective effort that's on display here, moving the creator economy forward. More events to come! If you're in NYC, we welcome you to come and join us. #creatoreconomy #creators #events #nyc

You are not too late to LinkedIn. You are not too late to Twitch. You are not too late to Twitter. You are not too late to YouTube. You are not too late to TikTok. You are not too late to Instagram. If you wanna make content, make it. There’s no such thing as “too late.”
