SPA has an urgent need for a Senior Software Engineer in Dahlgren, VA.   The Engineer will support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division's (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic and Sensor Department. Last week, SPA's Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) explored Perch Putt in Tysons Corner, VA, for some friendly competition and community on the course. With custom shirts and winning mindsets, the group had a fun-filled evening! CIG provides technical, programmatic, and analytical support to customers with missions in national security. Today, SPA interns and employees connected in-person and virtually with SPA President Terry Benedict for his Intern Lunch and Learn presentation. Terry reminded the group of the age-old quote, “Do what you love and you will never work a day," remarking he's only worked 10 days his entire life!   Terry discussed the importance of recognizing a turning point in your career, knowing your true north, and learning to be a follower before being a good leader. He shared with the group, "The right answer is always the right answer, no matter how much someone wants it faster, cheaper, better, their way, or now," "Push information, don't make your supervisor pull it," and "Make your decision and never second guess it." Terry ended the presentation with meaningful advice, "Recognize that your job is what you do.
