The team at Space and Time (SxT) is proud to join the Elastic Chain ecosystem by building our very own ZK Chain. ZKsync's Elastic Chain is a groundbreaking solution to Web3’s fragmentation problem, and SxT is excited to be at the forefront of this innovation. Today, we’re thrilled to announce the pioneering new capabilities that our research team is delivering to the ZKsync ecosystem. 1. What is SxT? ➡️ SxT is the ZK-proven data layer for ZKsync and the Elastic Chain ecosystem. Our team built and shipped Proof of SQL—the first sub-second ZK prover for blockchain data—to give smart contracts the ability to trustlessly process data at scale. Before Proof of SQL, this didn’t exist in Web3. Now, SxT allows contracts in the ZKsync ecosystem to ask data-driven questions about the entire history of ZKsync, other chains, and even offchain data and receive back ZK-proven answers onchain. ZK Chains can facilitate more sophisticated DeFi, gaming, social, and crypto-native infra: ✅ Query comprehensive data from major chains directly from your smart contract on any ZK Chain in a trustless way. Your DeFi protocol, onchain game, or lending market doesn’t have to wait 30 minutes to get a verified answer back onchain. Instead, SxT provides the data your contract needs within block time. 📩 Seamlessly pass threshold-signed messages from one ZK Chain to another (including data about recent activity on your ZK Chain) to facilitate bridging, rewards, slashing, lending collateral, cross-chain gaming, loyalty programs, analytics, and more. 🔗 Access every single data point, transaction, wallet balance, and smart contract event from each rollup across the ever-expanding network of ZK Chains in a trustless way. Only with SxT. 2. Supporting the Space and Time Network: Furthermore, we’re excited to announce that the ZK Chain will be SxT's transactional epicenter, providing… 🏦 The dedicated settlement layer for the SxT network: ZKsync will provide secure and efficient transaction processing to the network. SxT plans to have node operators stake, register with the network, and receive rewards on our ZK Chain. 🌐 The hub chain for all SxT network TVL: SxT plans to accept payments for compute in various tokens and settle liquidity on ZKsync. 3. SxT and the Elastic Chain: The fragmentation of ETH rollups has achieved impressive cumulative throughput capacity, but at the cost of user experience, capital efficiency, and network integrity. These problems can be solved with ZK. ➡️ The Elastic Chain is an ecosystem of autonomous ZK Chains, like SxT, that are interconnected natively at the protocol level, allowing both users and liquidity to move between them freely. Given our alignment to ZK, and the unparalleled interoperability, throughput, verifiability, and security offered by ZKsync, it should be pretty obvious why SxT chose to build our chain on the Elastic Chain. The SxT cryptography team has gone to insane lengths over the last 3 years to deliver the first sub-second ZK prover for blockchain data. Proof of SQL is foundational ZK tech that will enable a new era of data-driven smart contracts and sophisticated onchain AI agents. Now available on GitHub: https://lnkd.in/gHJwZACd 💡 👇 Proof of SQL gives both smart contracts and AI agents transacting onchain the ability to ask data-driven questions about the entire history of their chains, other chains, and even offchain data using ZK proofs to ensure nothing has been tampered. Your smart contract can ask questions like… 📊 Which liquidity pools have a TVL > $1M and were deployed at least one month ago? 📊 What are all the transactions across these three bridges that moved at least $1M of tokens per wallet from Chain A to Chain B? 📊 Before executing this onchain loan, look up the borrower’s wallet history to see if they’ve already paid off loans onchain (and provide a discounted borrow rate if so). 📊 Which wallets meet all the criteria for my airdrop? …and receive back ZK-proven answers onchain to facilitate more sophisticated DeFi, gaming, social, and crypto-native infra. Let’s take a look at how it works in the Space and Time (SxT) network. 👇 SxT’s network of blockchain indexers are collecting comprehensive data from every major chain… 🔗 Every smart contract event 🔗 Every storage slot update 🔗 Every wallet balance 🔗 Every token transfer 🔗 Every transaction 🔗 Every block 🔗 Every major chain …in real time. The indexing nodes witness the data ingested and come to consensus that it was collected correctly by the indexers and wasn’t tampered. The network then threshold-signs commitments on the indexed data. You can think of these like unique fingerprints of the data, which are later used during the verification process to show that it wasn’t tampered when proving query results to smart contracts. When your DeFi protocol, onchain game, or lending market requests a ZK-proven query result of what’s happening onchain, your contract sends a query request to SxT, along with a payment for the compute it takes to execute the query and proof. The SxT endpoint contract emits an event onchain, which the SxT prover nodes listen for. SxT’s network of prover nodes coordinates to assign your SQL query job to one of the provers, which then returns back your query result, a ZK proof, and the fingerprints (commitments) from earlier. Your proof can then be verified onchain by a smart contract, through the Chainlink Network, or by an offchain verifier. Finally, SxT delivers the trustless query result back to your contract. ✅ Oh, and this entire process happens within block time. 🤯 For a deep dive, check out our whitepaper: https://lnkd.in/gM5dfvPU

Introducing Proof of SQL, our first generation, high performance ZK prover, which cryptographically guarantees SQL queries were computed accurately against untampered data, verified onchain or offchain. https://lnkd.in/gjajGYB4 🚀 After years of development by the Space and Time (SxT) research team, Proof of SQL now targets online latencies while proving standard SQL computations over the entire history of blockchains, 1-2 orders of magnitude faster than state-of-the-art zkVMs and coprocessors. As the first sub-second prover, the protocol can execute analytic queries over 100k-row tables in less than a second on NVIDIA A100 GPUs. It can also aggregate over millions of rows of indexed data within Ethereum block time on A100s, or even just a single T4. ✅ Using Proof of SQL, developers can compute over both onchain and offchain datasets in a trustless manner, proving the result back to their smart contract just-in-time during a transaction to power more sophisticated DeFi protocols with data-driven contracts. It can be integrated into any SQL database (such as Google Cloud BigQuery), centralized or decentralized, and is already securing some of the most prominent Web3 apps, financial institutions, and enterprises. Note that SxT, as a network, indexes every block, transaction, smart contract event, storage slot update, wallet balance, token transfer, etc. from every major chain in order to give our community of devs a wealth of raw data to prove against. 🤝 Proof of SQL is designed to support both onchain and offchain verification. For faster offchain verification, we leverage Dory commitment schemes and the Sumcheck protocol, with incredible near-instant (20ms) verification. For slower onchain verification, we've implemented a novel commitment scheme which significantly lowers gas fees. We are targeting adding support for this new commitment scheme to our GitHub repo in late July. The protocol enables EVM smart contracts to trustlessly query any arbitrary indexed data from supported chains, receiving back a verified query result during a transaction. 🏗 Proof of SQL is in active development and getting more performant every day. Our roadmap includes hyperscaling to tens of billions of rows, as well as expanded SQL support - in particular, multi-table queries (like JOIN) and subqueries. Most importantly, we are working rapidly to integrate a novel commitment scheme co-developed with our friends at Microsoft for more efficient onchain verification. We invite the crypto-native community of researchers, DeFi devs, hackers, and all-around data enthusiasts to contribute all the way along the Proof of SQL stack, from our Blitzar GPU accelerator, to the prover, to the verifier, etc. We believe this important primitive will facilitate more sophisticated, data-driven smart contracts across the EVM and SVM ecosystems, but we can’t do it without your help.
