Congratulations to the State of North Carolina, the North Carolina Legislature, and Governor Roy Cooper for passing and signing into law their new hashtag #CPACE #financing enabling legislation! SB 802 was passed successfully by the North Carolina House of Representatives by a 94-20 vote on June 26, and then the North Carolina Senate by a unanimous vote on June 27, which was then signed into law by Governor Cooper yesterday on July 8. North Carolina becomes the 37th state in the nation to join the C-PACE community, which now permits North Carolina's #commercialpropertyowners and #developers to finance #sustainable and #resilience #improvements to their existing and new commercial properties. Peachtree Group recently closed a $10.7MM CPACE loan for an office in Nashville, TN. This was the first CPACE deal Peachtree has done in the state. CPACE is a cost-effective solution for construction financing, as well as a way to fund energy-efficient upgrades.
