About Our Keynote Speaker: Diane Farrell Diane Farrell serves as the Deputy Under Secretary for International Trade at the International Trade Administration (ITA). In her role, she coordinates policy and directs the ITA, overseeing its daily operations with an annual budget of $613 million and a team of approximately 2,100 trade and investment professionals in over 100 U.S. cities and 70 markets globally. Farrell also co-chairs the Department of Commerce's Equity Council. Previously, Farrell was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia, advising on international economics, trade, investment, and commercial policy in Asia. She also led the U.S. India Business Council (USIBC) as Executive Vice President, overseeing business advocacy and government relations. Farrell's extensive experience includes serving on the Board of Directors at the Export Import Bank of the United States (U.S. EXIM Bank), managing multimillion-dollar budgets as First Selectwoman (mayor) of Westport, Connecticut, and contributing to national transportation and infrastructure policy as a member of various planning organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in American government from Wheaton College, Norton, Massachusetts, and is a recipient of the 2022 Presidential Rank Award for her exceptional service.
