Yesterday was the 10-year anniversary of the first federal commemoration of Cesar Chavez Day. We reflected on how we can continue to advance the dignity and health of farm workers and Latinos.    Today, the 2.2 million U.S. farmworkers have disproportionately high rates of obesity and heart disease. 78% identify as Hispanic, according to The National Center for Farmworker Health, and 62% are most comfortable conversing in Spanish. Many work in the United States but travel to Mexico for health care because they aren’t comfortable using translators at the doctor’s office or they are uncertain of how much it will cost.   At MiSalud Health we’re proud to be collaborating with leading employers of Latino workers to provide Spanish-language biometric testing, and providing culturally attuned, digital healthcare access to their employees.   To the agricultural employers supporting Latino workers through MiSalud, thank you.
