Today, Monday, July 8th is National "Be A Kid Again Day” – a day to honor the benefits adults get from acting like a kid again! The Museum is not just a place for children to play on their own – it’s an immersive and interactive experience for the whole family. Take a break from “being an adult” this summer and unleash your inner child with a day of play. There’s no better way to have fun together, create lasting memories, and leave your adult worries behind. As our Chairman of the Board says, “it’s never too late to have a happy childhood!” #BeAKidAgainDay

We are thrilled to announce that our 14th Annual Not So Scary Family Halloween Bash will be chaired by Amanda Pizarro and Andy Rodriguez! Amanda and Andy are the co-founders of The Salty Donut, a donut & coffee shop that has garnered national acclaim for pushing the boundaries of traditional donut-making and creating a unique, memorable experience for its customers. In addition to their success with The Salty, which now has 16 stores across 5 states, Amanda has been recognized for her contributions to the culinary industry, earning a spot on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in 2018. As a committed Museum Member and supporter, she understands the vital role our Halloween fundraiser plays in ensuring that the Museum’s programming reaches as many children as possible throughout the year. We are fortunate to have her spearheading this year’s spooktacular event and can’t wait for you to experience the sweet surprises that await you! We are thrilled to announce our launch of the Museum Playful Learning Collective, a groundbreaking national partnership of more than 10 museums aimed at examining the impact of formal museum preschool education on school readiness among children! This initiative, funded in part by a generous grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, seeks to answer critical questions about the advantages of museum-based preschool education, the alignment of curriculum with museum programs, and the best methods to measure kindergarten readiness.
