Say hello to four great people who joined our team in the past few months!⁠ ⁠ Shelley McRae joined as an Assistant Merchandising Manager. In her role, Shelley is responsible for identifying efficiencies and curating assortments for growth within our Lifestyle Hosiery category. ⁠ Bria Anderson is our Associate Product Designer. Bria is responsible for implementing the strategy and creation of products through CADs and product-related materials across a broad category range. ⁠ Megan Petersen joined as a Packaging Design Specialist. In her role, Megan develops and tests packaging designs for products, displays and cartons while expanding upon successful packaging efficiencies. ⁠ Liz Kircher is our Director of Sourcing. Liz manages and leads the development of products focusing on construction, material applications and visual treatments. ⁠ We are thrilled to have Shelley, Bria, Megan & Liz on the Implus team!

Implus US offices are closed today in honor of Juneteenth. Today commemorates June 19, 1865, when US General Gordon Granger led thousands of federal troops to Galveston, Texas to announce that Civil War had ended and that all enslaved African Americans were free.

Implus recognizes Youth Day in South Africa. Today marks the 48th anniversary of the Soweto Uprising, which took place on June 16, 1976. Listen to three employees from our Cape Town, South Africa office share their perspectives on the significance of this day and what it means to them.

#productspotlight Sport-Brella, part of the Implus family of brands, has recently launched a new product, the Suncave! The Suncave is a ground-level shelter that has walls on three sides and a floor-to-ceiling opening for easy entry and exit. It also has a flexible floor extension that can be lifted and attached to the sides of the structure's opening to create a completely private space. We are excited to welcome Anna Gosnell to the Implus team as our Hosiery Product Developer!⁠ ⁠ Anna is originally from Sanford, NC and received her bachelor's degree in Fashion & Textile Management from North Carolina State University.⁠ Outside of work, she enjoys traveling anywhere with her dogs and listening to music by Chris Stapleton and Dua Lipa. ⁠ Join us in giving Anna a warm welcome!⁠

Congratulations to Isaiah Dickerson, our Content Creator Contractor, on his college graduation! 🎓⁠ ⁠ Isaiah joined Implus as a summer intern and stayed on as a contractor while finishing his senior year with the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at UNC Chapel Hill. His photojournalism background and passion for storytelling have been instrumental in creating captivating videos and social media content spotlighting our team members and brands.⁠ ⁠ We wish Isaiah the very best in his next chapter!

May marks the return of our annual Day in May Program! Listen for a special message from Michael Polk, our Chief Executive Officer, on the importance of prioritizing your mental health and taking time to find balance. Day in May allows eligible Implus employees the opportunity to take one paid full day off during the month of May to completely focus on their personal health and wellbeing. This year’s theme is “Your Perfect Day” and we encourage employees to spend their Day in May however they wish to feel restored and reenergized.
