Truist Securities Healthcare Disruptors and Digital Health Summit in NYC today hosted a panel on "Managing Senior care in a Volatile Utilization Environment" moderated by Jailendra Singh, managing director and senior equity research analyst at Truist Securities and led by panelists Michael Kopko, CEO of Pearl Health and Dr Sanjay Doddamani, Guidehealth Founder and CEO. Salient from the dialogue was the need to combine technology, data and payment model reinforced by Kopko, who doubled down on the inherent value of the primary doctor-patient relationship that unlocks the value of high quality care, and informed by the right data. He added the framework of programs like ACO REACH can provide alignment of incentives for patients to receive better care and produce savings that impact Medicare. Doddamani, who founded Guidehealth a year ago talked about how health systems need to continue down the path to value if they want to produce greater impact for their communities. "Health systems are at a crossroads. If they want to grow their network (of referring physicians) they need to embrace alternate payment models" adding, "with better network access and prediction tools, we can reduce V28 exposure and drive actual cost savings". Pearl Health has both ACO REACH and Medicare Shared Savings Programs. Guidehealth partners with health systems and clinical networks to increase performance across all lines of healthcare with a ramp to two-sided risk.
