Gerdau’s story began 123 years ago in the Rio Grande do Sul state in Brazil. The region is recovering from major flooding due to historic rainfall that hit in May. This devastating natural disaster has led to the loss of lives, the destruction of homes, and the displacement of 500 employees and their families. Our North American colleagues have joined forces to support our global Gerdau family and have planned their own location-based fundraising initiatives. Check out what some of our locations have been doing to show support for our impacted colleagues! #ShapeTheFuture #KindnessCapacity #BrazilFloods

We have reached the 4th and final episode of our web series "Recycling Without Borders," where we tell stories of people in some of the countries where we have operations who, like us, work with scrap metal and shape the future with the circular economy.   Today we go to Mexico, a country where 100% of our steel production comes from scrap recycling. There, we meet Roberto Carlos and his daughter Axel who are part of the network of professionals who supply Gerdau and help us shape an increasingly sustainable future.   Did you miss an episode? Review all chapters of this web series on our social media channels! 👏 ♻   #ShapetheFuture #RecyclingWithoutBorders
