    60 second graders in Denver Public Schools received new bikes and helmets today from our West Plant team, thanks to our partnership with Wish for Wheels for their bike build initiative. This nonprofit works with local organizations to promote healthy habits through biking, helping to build confidence and foster independence in kids from underserved communities. We're honored to be part of this meaningful project! #GarneyGivesBack

    Our intern spotlight today is on Dean Perrott, pictured farthest to the right. Dean, a South Dakota School of Mines & Technology student and Field Engineer Intern at Garney, is working on a storage tank project on the side of a mountain in Loveland, Colorado. "This internship allows me to learn and apply my knowledge of surveying tools, computer programs, and other skills to support our jobsite. I appreciate Garney’s values and goals and hope to return next summer.”

The skills learned, friendships formed, and projects completed are just the beginning. Together, we are taking steps to diversify the industry and empower the next generation of women in construction. We're excited for what's next, including our Colorado camps next summer!

    We kick off week three of intern spotlights with Tyler Ingle, a University of Central Florida student. Tyler is a Field Engineer Intern spending the summer in Jacksonville, Florida, working at a water reclamation facility. So far, the work has challenged him, but the people have exceeded his expectations. "When I started, I found almost every aspect of this job surprising or new. However, I was most surprised by the people. My jobsite is full of hard-working, interesting, and passionate people. I love this job because I can't wait to learn something new alongside incredible colleagues and mentors daily."
