Working at Festival Foods means an opportunity to contribute and support meaningful causes together, both from our workplace and in the communities we serve. Jonny (Assistant Store Director, Somers), Caitlin (Guest Service Manager, Somers), Marissa (Guest Service Assistant Manager, Kenosha), and Shauna (Guest Service Manager, Kenosha) volunteered recently for MDA Summer Camp in Kenosha. More from Jonny: The camp is a weeklong event that is help funded by our icon sales! The camp offers swimming, fishing, archery, team bonding, cabin decorating, and lots of other fun activities. It truly was a very fun time helping put a smile on so many people faces! More about Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp: MDA Summer Camp is a magical place of complete inclusion, empowerment, exploration, and growth. The magic is in the experience of trying something new, developing friendships that last a lifetime, learning to self-advocate, and harnessing potential. Each summer, kids and young adults with neuromuscular disease attend these life-changing, overnight camps around the U.S. - at no cost to their families, thanks to our generous supporters. Joining the team means an opportunity to make a difference in our communities. Members of the Somers team recently volunteered for the Kenosha Unified School District Somers Elementary School end of the year carnival, & had a great time leading games for the students. We are grateful for our associates and their passion for our communities. Today, we're highlighting Jennifer Kincaid, Human Resources Manager (Kenosha), who recently participated in United Way of Kenosha County's Day of Caring. Jennifer and her family spent the morning doing cleanup and landscaping at the Chavez Learning Station. More from Jennifer Kincaid: My family and I participated in United Way’s Day of Caring. We spent the morning doing some cleanup/landscaping at the Chavez Learning Station here in Kenosha. It was a lot of hard work, but it was great for our souls! We were able to get their walk-up landscape cleared of weeds and overgrowth as well as prepare the space for mulch to arrive! About Chavez Learning Station: Chavez Learning Station is the home of the Head Start Program for Kenosha Unified School District. Head Start promotes community awareness, child health and school readiness. Thank you, Jennifer, for making a difference at our Kenosha store and in the Kenosha community! #lifeatfestfoods #volunteer #community
