We had a phenomenal time celebrating AAPI Heritage Month at our Aloha EGAMI event! Our amazing team member, Precious S., led an engaging discussion on Polynesian culture, debunking common myths and sharing key insights for our growth. Highlights included an entertaining live performance showcasing Hawaiian, Tahitian, and Samoan dance by Island Inspiration NY, and a dance lesson allowing everyone to participate in the fun! Today, we were honored to kick off our 2024 #DreamMakers series with one of today’s most innovative voices in diversity, equity, and inclusion, Doug Melville. Melville is a fifth-generation leader whose family worked under 10 presidential administrations. He is an experienced global head of diversity and is now the CEO of Jodie AI, an AI DEI assistant that fills workplace diversity resource gaps with insights and supports private DEI journeys. In November, Melville debuted his first book, “Invisible Generals,” the amazing true story of America’s first Black generals, Benjamin O. Davis Sr. and Jr., a father and son who helped integrate the American military and created the Tuskegee Airmen. Thank you for sharing your gems with us today, Doug Melville! #onpurpose
