As someone who lives in Birmingham , AL, but grew up in New Orleans I’ve always considered myself a New Orleanian. Steve Gleason was born in Washington State, but is the epitome of a New Orleanian and has been a voice of optimism and courage for our great city and for humanity. I was living in New Orleans during Katrina and I’ve never seen a city so torn dealing with unimaginable adversity, but it was one game and one punt block by this man that seemed to ignite the spark of hope on the other side of fear. He has always been a champion for good and positivity, so this award and celebration of Steve makes me very happy. “My view is that fears and adversities we encounter are our opportunity to accept what is and explore what is on the other side of fear to grow stronger, better and have peace of mind. From this perspective resiliantly moving through the adversities life brings us is our purpose being human.” I shared this video with my three girls and with the team at Dash Solutions and wanted to share it with friends on LinkedIn that may have missed it.
