The inclusive world of Barbie is expanding yet again — this time, with the first-ever blind Barbie doll and a Black Barbie with Down syndrome. Toy manufacturer Mattel, Inc. announced the two new additions to its Fashionista line on Tuesday. The company worked closely with the American Foundation for the Blind to ensure the blind Barbie doll accurately depicted individuals with blindness or low vision, while making sure that the doll was still accessible. "As we wrap up Disability Pride month, we believe this is an excellent way to make children worldwide feel included, regardless of their abilities," American Foundation for the Blind's Tony Stephens told CBS News.

Based on its high marks for affordability, access to high quality health care, overall well-being and other categories, #Delaware, known as the "First State," earned the top spot in Bankrate's annual ranking of the best states to retire in the U.S. "While you might not think of Delaware as a typical retirement haven, it has many strong selling points for retirees," Bankrate analyst Alex Gailey told CBS MoneyWatch.

Project 2025, a 900-page blueprint for the next Republican president, is gaining attention for its proposals to overhaul the federal government. Among those changes: a major restructuring of the U.S. tax code. The tax proposals of Project 2025, if enacted, would likely affect every adult in the U.S. by tossing out the nation's long-standing system of multiple tax brackets, which is designed to help lower-income Americans pay a smaller share of their income in federal taxes compared with middle- or high-income workers.

Before finishing school this past semester, students at Tulane University completed one final project. They designed, created and built a tiny 440-square-foot home to benefit someone in their community who hasn't had a place to call home in nearly two decades. Benjamin Henry used to live under Interstate 10, which runs right through the heart of #NewOrleans. He said that his story is one of bad decisions involving drugs and alcohol. For nearly 10 months, the students worked to build Henry's piece of paradise as part of their assignment for the UrbanBuild program at Tulane. For Henry, it's not only a new chapter in his life but also the best. "I want everybody to know that as long as you have hope… as long as you hang in there, there's gonna be some breakthrough. And I'm having my breakthrough right now. Hallelujah," he said.
