Our story begins in 1965 with the opening of Quality Machine & Associates (QMA). The new business, wholly owned and operated by Don Henthorn, quickly gained a reputation as the premier manufacturer specializing in precision machine work and servicing customers like Rocketdyne, Rockwell and Hughes Aircraft. In 1979, QMA began development on its newest project—a hydraulic tubing bender designed for muffler shops. They settled on the brand name BendPak (originally hyphenated as “Bend-Pak”), and a legend was born. Today, BendPak is the world's leading producer of automotive lifts, pipe benders, air compressors and shop equipment, with a worldwide commitment to never settle. The BendPak brand is globally recognized as a badge of quality. That’s because for the past 50 years, we’ve been pioneering service equipment technology, marketing and training programs, as well as operational and supply systems that are now considered the standard for the entire industry. We realized all the way back in the mid-1960s that you’re either the best in the business or you’re well on your way to going out of business. Second place simply isn’t an option. To see what it takes to be the best equipment maker in the world, we have to take you on a journey below the surface of the shop floor. Our lift-building expertise, dedication to craftsmanship, proven designs and refusal to use anything but the highest-graded materials may not be immediately visible to the naked eye, but these core philosophies beat deep inside the steely heart of each of our products. BendPak Inc. has received a Sourcewell contract number to provide cooperative purchasing of its vehicle lifts and other garage and fleet maintenance equipment to public agencies across North America. According to BendPak, it secured the contract following a request for proposal (RFP) process designed to ensure compliance with local procurement requirements. Sourcewell combines the buying power of more than 50,000 participating agencies to save purchasing entities time and money. By streamlining procurement with pre-negotiated, competitive contracts, Sourcewell helps government, education and nonprofit organizations secure cost-effective and efficient purchasing solutions. Sourcewell manages the solicitation requirements and offers members access to an established network of contracts awarded to suppliers. “Sourcewell’s positive evaluation of our bid cited several pluses, including our extensive range of lifts, shop equipment and accessories backed by an expansive sales, installation and service network across the U.S. and Canada. They also appreciated our warranty coverage and the competitive discount off MSRP pricing we provide Sourcewell participants,” said Sean Price, BendPak director of sales operations. “We’re honored to win this contract and are happy to help public agencies get the best shop equipment to keep their teams safe and productive on the job.” #aftermarket #autoparts #autocare
