For Pete's sake, stay away from bullet points! Bullet points will suck your soul. They put your audience to sleep as you go down your long, boring list and you will slowly lose momentum the further down the list you go. Instead, think concrete and simple (taken from Heath & Heath). Each slide should have 1 main idea. Accompany that idea with a story, example, metaphor, visual, or application. This kind of approach to slide decks and public speaking will absolutely keep your audience awake and give you the momentum, confidence and assertiveness you will enjoy.

From there, decide how you might build the data slides to tell your story...maybe highlighting/dimming certain variables as you go, or adding sequential years into the graph, one at a time to demonstrate growth.

Don't be fooled by public speaking experience. Just because you are an experienced, successful speaker doesn't mean you can go into a presentation without practice. That kind of scenario creates the perfect storm where you rely too heavily on your past and end up repeating yourself, rambling, and unknowingly boring your audience. Even if you know it, take the time to rehearse.
