The Advanced Slider block provides an element that displays content in a slideshow format. This block allows users to view multiple content slides within a single space without taking up too much screen real estate. Advanced Sliders often showcase products or highlight important visual content, such as photographs or graphics.
The block editor presents you with a slider with two empty slides. You have the opportunity to add your images or content to the slider. Press the “Add Slide” button on the toolbar to add additional slides.
Advanced Slider Settings
The Advanced Slider consists of a parent Advanced Slider block and child Slide blocks. Each block has internal settings you can adjust. The Advanced Slider has Slider Size, Slider Settings, Slide Spacing, and Advanced sections.
Slider Size
The Slider Size section provides two size modes; Ratio Responsive or Fixed. When the mode is ratio responsive, you can set the slider ratio and the content’s inner max width.
If you select a fixed-size mode, you can adjust the slider’s minimum height and the content’s inner max width.
These settings can be adjusted for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Slider Settings
Under the Slider Settings section, you can enable Auto Play, set the autoplay speed (milliseconds), and determine if the autoplay will pause when a user hovers over the slide.
Slide Transition Speed determines the length of time for transitions to take place. There are two transition types: fade or slide.
Arrow styles include white on dark, black on light, outline black, outline white, or none.
Dot styles include dark, light, outline dark, outline line, or none.
Slide Spacing
Slide spacing lets you adjust padding and margin for the slide. Spacing can be adjusted for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Slide Settings
Selecting a child slide block gives you access to the slide settings. Sections include slide background settings, slide background overlay, slide text color, slide align settings, and advanced.
Slide Background Settings
Slide background settings let you add a background color and image.
Slide Background Overlay
Every slide can have a slide background overlay. The overlay options include the overlay color and a blend mode.
Slide Text Color
Slides also have a slide text color section. Settings include the text color, the link color, and the link hover color.
Slide Align Settings
Slides also have slide-align settings. These settings let you left, center, or right align horizontally. You can also vertically align the content to the top, middle, or bottom. You can adjust the settings for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
