How fun is this deck?  This deck is Knuckles-level fun.  (If you know, you know.)

The idea is to double a Floppy Hydra a few times and finally clock the opponent with either Maxima Blastenheimer, or Always a Bigger Jormungar.

Cards in the deck mostly fall into a few categories, with some overlap:

  1. tutor Hydra (draw)
  2. give Hydra rush/attack (control the board)
  3. activate Hydra deathrattle (advance win condition)

Mulligan for Ten Gallon Hat, Scavenger's Ingenuity, Fetch!, and Maxima (so the other cards will guarantee a Hydra).  If you find a tutor or hydra, keep Trueaim Crescent, Tracking, or Devouring Swarm.

Because Hydra is the only win-con, there are a lot of counters to the deck, so you need to know whether your opponent is likely to have a transform, silence, mind control, poof, Mutanus, Flik Skyshiv, Steamcleaner, Whirlpool, etc.  And once your Hydras get big enough, you can't reliably trade into opponents' minions to activate the deathrattles, so try to guarantee the DR with Play Dead or Goblin Prank.

The other tricky part to playing the deck is keeping track of how many Hydras in the deck, and how big they are.  It's easy to lose track, but it's important not to, especially when you're ready to play Maxima.

Crafting the deck: If you enjoy hunter memes, both legendary cards have potential for big fun, even if they'll never make in a competitive ladder deck.  You can do without Flark's Boom-Zooka, but cutting Maxima will bring your win-rate down.  Goblin Prank is essential for this deck, but you could cut one or both Crescents for something cheap, like Candleshot, and swap The Beast Within for something like Smuggler's Crate, cheap removal spells, or useful secrets.  However, IMAO, all the epics deserve to be in your hunter toolkit.

If you try the deck, I hope you have fun with it, and if you learn something about playing it, or improve it, please share in the comments.  I'd love to know your experience.
