How does Reforge work in Legends of Runeterra?

In the latest reveal for the upcoming expansion to Legends of Runeterra, Noxus has gained their famous exile, Riven. Riven is coming along with a brand new keyword, Reforge, which creates pieces of her weapon, the Blade of the Exile. Riven’s unique status as a champion requires players to use this new keyword to level her up.

What does Reforge do?

Reforge creates a Heavy Blade Fragment, which offers 1 of 3 buffs, Overwhelm, Quick Attack, and +2|0 this turn. Once you place all three buffs onto one follower, the blade is reforged, creating a new slow spell card offering a massive buff. Just creating this card will instantly level Riven up.

What cards activate Reforge?

Currently, there are a few different ways to activate Reforge. The first is simply having an attack token while Riven is summoned, but supporting cards help players rebuild this blade.

Riven will be available to play starting on December 16.
