German publisher Sunflowers has signed a publishing agreement with Electronic Arts that will see the Chertsey-based chart-topper publish Anno 1503 - Treasures, Monsters and Pirates worldwide in spring 2004.

Treasures, Monsters and Pirates is an expansion pack for the remarkably popular Anno 1503 - The New World, which enjoyed massive sales in Germany, though did less well on the continent despite EA's usual marketing tactic of a banknote buffet for retail chain buyers.

This official expansion pack brings various new elements to the mix - three new continuous play games, 12 more single-player scenarios of varying degrees of difficulty, and a new battle scenario specifically designed for newcomers - and you can see some shots of the pack in action here.
