Spanish mobile developers Kato Studios have announced the launch of a new football title, focusing on the football skills of perhaps the most famous player to wear the number 10 shirt, Diego Maradona.

The game features a series of 18 different button combinations which will need to be either followed on screen in the guided mode, or memorised for future play in the free mode, sending Maradona swerving deftly between defenders and planting the ball in the back of the net.

Maradona Mobile is displayed in pseudo-3D, giving the impression of a camera following the infamous footballer across the pitch as he pulls off various complex dribbling tricks to fend off the opposing team, breaking into a Matrix-style slow-motion mode to show some of the fancier manoeuvres set over 20 levels of difficulty.

More information on the game, which is available now for a broad selection of Java-enabled handsets, can be found by visiting www.katostudios.com.
