Rockstar has updated its Classics site with the second in its series of freely downloadable full PC games from the publisher's expansive back catalogue - and surprise, surprise it's another DMA Design production, this time Wild Metal, also known as Wild Metal Country.

While, in the words of the Classics page itself, Wild Metal " flew under the mainstream radar when it was originally released," it certainly had some innovative ideas - not least of all the control scheme, which had players operating individual caterpillar tracks independently using the keyboard number pad.

Like the original Classics release of the very first Grand Theft Auto, this 170MB distribution of Wild Metal has been optimised to run on modern PC hardware, so you should have no trouble getting it to work, and all you have to do to get your hands on it is subscribe to the Rockstar mailing list.

Head over to the Rockstar Classics page for download information.
