LittleBigPlanet 2 will be revealed in full at 2pm BST today.

Thanks to a Game Informer leak we already know that Media Molecule's sequel to 2008's fantastic platform game creation package for PS3 can be used to make games in other genres.

The US magazine mentioned it in its June issue tease (since edited, although they left "little big planet 2" in the tags - schoolboy error) and someone on NeoGAF inevitably posted all the details within hours.

According to that summary LBP2 will allow you to create racing games, puzzle games, shoot-'em-ups and other types of content - even real-time strategy and role-playing games.

It will also allow you to create and edit short films, record sound effects, play around with the camera to produce cut-scenes, customise the HUD and deploy customisable and programmable "Sackbot" enemies.

Perhaps most interestingly LBP2 will allow you to define your own control schemes for Sackboy, vehicles and enemies, and then share those tweaked routines - presumably partly in response to criticism of the first game's floaty jump routine.

It will also be possible to import content from the first LittleBigPlanet.

All that is technically unconfirmed for now, but you won't have to wait long to find out what Sony will confirm, because the general embargo on previews and assets expires at 2pm BST - which is when you'll be able to read all about it on Eurogamer.
