Level-5 has announced a new Professor Layton game for Nintendo 3DS.

During Nintendo of Japan's Direct press conference this afternoon, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino revealed the new title for release in 2013, and, according to a translation by Andriasang, described it as "the final adventure for Layton". That is, it's Hershel Layton's final adventure, not necessary the last Layton game.

As you'd expect, it has all new puzzles. The story is set one year after the previous 3DS game (Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, due out in the UK in October). This sixth Professor Layton game begins with the receipt of a letter from someone claiming to have found a living mummy.
