Xbox 360 Elite will launch in Japan on 11th October and cost 47,800 yen (GBP 194 / EUR 286), Microsoft said today.

Microsoft has yet to say when the Elite will launch in Europe or what it's likely to cost, and requests for comment weren't immediately returned.

Xbox 360 Elite, which is black rather than white, sports a 120GB hard disk rather than the Premium's 20GB, and offers HDMI video output, goes for USD 479.99 (GBP 238 / EUR 352) in the USA.

We recently got our hands on a unit and put together an extensive Xbox 360 Elite Hardware Test feature for you, commenting on everything from build quality and noise levels to HDMI image quality and HD-DVD performance.
