The Spanish edition of PSM3 magazine is reporting there are 15 multiplayer modes in Grand Theft Auto IV.

That's according to n4g and scans of the article appearing on GTAforums.com.

Apparently up to 16 players can compete online. You can create your own character, choosing their skin colour, gender, hair, clothing and so on.

Along with obligatory Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes there's Mafia Work and Team Mafia Work, where you race to pull off hits faster than your competitors. In Cops 'n' Crooks those playing as police must capture others playing as criminals, using a GPS system to track their movements.

Hangman's Noose is based on one of the single-player missions and sees you and up to three friends providing protection for Kenny Petrovich. This means fighting off SWAT teams as you travel across the city.

The article lists 14 of the multiplayer modes by name, as follows:

  • Hangman's Noose
  • Car Jack City
  • Bomb da Base
  • Bomb da Base II
  • Mafia Work
  • Team Mafia Work
  • Deathmatch
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Turf War
  • Cops 'n' Crooks
  • Race
  • GTA Race
  • Deal Breaker
  • Free Roam

Rockstar has yet to respond to requests for comment.
